PROJECT MANAGER WINS SAFTY AWARD FOR DEVON AND CORNWALL
Pollard Project Manager, Andy Webb, has been recognised for his outstanding commitment to Health and Safety by winning the Building Safety Group’s Safety Award 2011 for the Devon and Cornwall Region.
Andy was presented with this certificate earlier this month by Building Safety Group Chairman, Michael Setter.
The Award reflected the work and safety culture Andy has instilled into the whole workforce on the site he is managing in Exeter. The multi-storey development to construct 130 en-suite student apartments is being built on a confined and restricted site.
Acknowledging the reasons for the Award, Building Safety Group, one of the industry’s leading health, safety and environmental consultancies, stated:
The project is being managed in a very proactive manner with involvement of all the team members and subcontractors. The positive stance taken by Andy has led him being deservedly nominated for this year’s Award.”
Commenting on the Award, Pollard’s Health & Safety Director Martin Blake, said:
As a Company we pride ourselves on our proactive approach to Health and Safety, and Andy’s Award is testament to our culture and philosophy. Project Manger, Andy has led from the front and that commitment has been justifiably recognised.”
